As a brotherhood of anglers, we are working to preserve the sport we love. When anglers from every corner of our nation come together to raise a unified voice, we can have a huge impact on issues such as these:
Sadly, the greatest threat to our sport today comes from those who wish to deny our right to fish by closing access to our nation’s oceans, bays, lakes, rivers, and anywhere else that we love to throw in a line. We must continue to fight for our right to fish recreationally in America’s waters, and keep our beloved public resources public!
We believe that sportsmen and women make the best conservationists because we understand just how valuable America’s fish and public resources are to the sport we love. Simply put: If there are no fish left in the sea, we will no longer be able to participate in our favorite pastime. However, together we can fight to preserve America’s fish for future generations.
We all know how fun it is to fish, but we also have to remember that recreational fishing has a HUGE impact on the nation’s economy! Each year, recreational anglers spend over $41 billion* on our sport, which supports over 800,000 American jobs.** Together, we must work to remind America’s legislators of just how important our sport is to the nation’s economy.
Every angler knows that safety always needs to be priority number one. Small, easy steps like wearing a personal flotation device when going out on the water can save a life! We must continue to work together to make sure the sport we love remains safe.
